FACT FINDING: Local Ordinances,
Landlord Criteria, Client Preferences
-
SURVEY: A sign professional will go to the
actual site and obtain the information needed to design the signage
and stay in the allowable parameters. At this time measurements,
square footages, road frontages, drawings and pictures record the
site for the entire process.
-
DESIGN: Design the sign within the
parameters of the approval and the clients budget and preferences.
Drawings are then created and submitted for approval and permitting.
-
APPROVAL/PERMITTING: The drawings are
submitted to the client for approval. Once they are approved by the
client, they are submitted to the local municipality for approval.
-
FABRICATION: Using the approval
documentation, the signage is fabricated to U.L. and municipality
specifications.
-
INSPECTION: Prior to the installation, the
local municipality will inspect both the signs and the footers.
-
INSTALLATION: The actual installation may
be done in a one or over a period of time.
Skipping or not tweaking every detail can be both time consuming and
expensive. We always suggest a survey which includes the first three
stages of the process. The process relies on accountability. When one
organization is responsibility and accountability are never deferred.
